We are now an Internet based business following the 15 years long tradition of BushCrafts, the first aboriginal art and craft shop in Cairns, in the Tropical North of Queensland.

From the inception our goal has been helping local aboriginal artists and craftsmen, didgeridoo makers to sell their artwork to the tourist trade.

As the bullying tactics of the big players in the trade goes more open and menacing, the cheap import is flooding the shops and sweetshop type manufacture of aboriginal art is increasing to tragic proportions - we decided to stay small.

So, what are we now ... just the front for the local aboriginal artists and craftsmen, didgeridoo makers -our fellows, the black-fellahs - who's work we are selling in this original aboriginal online Boutique.

Aboriginal art is mostly sold as decoration on Aboriginal artifacts such as boomerangs, pottery; on Aboriginal musical instruments: didgeridoos, emu callers, bullroarers, clapsticks, and less on canvas, although aboriginal art on canvas can fetch much higher price.
